Rawalpindi, September 2025 — The Pakistan Army has achieved a major counter-terrorism success, eliminating 19 Indian proxy terrorists in a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were launched after the martyrdom of Major Adnan, a hero whose sacrifice has inspired the nation, who laid down his life fighting militants linked to India’s intelligence agency, RAW.
Operations Across Mohmand, North Waziristan, and Bannu
The operations were carried out on 9–10 September 2025 and targeted multiple terrorist hideouts:
- Mohmand (Guluno area): 14 terrorists killed.
- North Waziristan (Datta Khel area): 4 terrorists killed.
- Bannu: 1 terrorist killed.
Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and explosives, preventing imminent attacks on civilians and military posts. Pakistan Army’s intelligence network played a decisive role in tracking and eliminating the hostile elements.
RAW-Backed Militants Infiltrating From Afghanistan
ISPR confirmed that these terrorists were trained in Afghanistan with the backing of RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) and then infiltrated into Pakistan to destabilize the region. These militants were directly involved in cross-border terrorism, ambushes on security forces, and targeted attacks against innocent civilians.
This incident once again highlights the use of Afghan soil for proxy warfare against Pakistan, an issue consistently raised by Islamabad at international forums.
